What each number and chart means, and how it is worked out.
The ideas behind the numbers
Weight bearing, scaled so the higher side is 100
Every left-right comparison shows the foot carrying more load that day as 100, and the other foot as a percentage of it. This is a relative comparison: it shows how evenly weight is shared between your two feet, not how hard either foot is pressing in absolute terms.
Symmetry
The lower value divided by the higher one, as a percentage. 100% means the two sides are equal; lower numbers mean a bigger difference between them.
Trend arrows
Today's value compared with the average of the last seven days, including today. Only days with recorded data count towards that average — a day with no data is left out rather than counted as zero. A dash means there is not yet enough data to compare.
The load scale
Colours the pressure maps from light for lower pressure to dark for higher. The shading is continuous rather than banded, so values close together look similar but not identical.
The summary
Step count
Total steps recorded that day, both feet combined. The chart shows the past seven days, with dashed lines for this week's and last week's daily average.
Plantar load
Each of the ten zones on the insole is shaded by that zone's typical peak pressure for the day, relative to the other nine zones on the same foot. It shows where pressure concentrates on that foot, rather than a calibrated absolute reading.
Foot progression quality
A score from 0 to 100 for how cleanly the foot rolls from heel strike to toe-off.
It is worked out by ranking a day's steps from worst to best, discarding the bottom third — these tend to be steps where you were not really walking — and averaging the rest. The heel strike, midstance and toe-off rows break that same score into its three parts, each averaged over the same set of steps.
The seven-day pressure history
Three snapshots of each day's pressure map: a lighter step, a typical step shown larger as the representative one, and a heavier step. Seeing all three gives a sense of how much your steps vary across a day, not just their average.
Weight bearing over time
The daily chart uses the same "higher side is 100" logic, shown as a seven-day trend rather than a single day.
The distribution below it shows, for each day and each foot, what proportion of that day's steps fell into each loading range. Every step is measured against that day's reference, which is the higher of the two feet's median loads — so 100 always marks that same reference point. Because the reference is itself a median, the foot that set it will usually have close to half its steps land above 100. The bars for one foot on one day always add up to 100%.
